What is it like to live between the “13’s”?  In Romans 13, Paul wrote to the church in the capital city of the Empire and told the Christians there to submit to the governmental authority.  Paul’s perspective is largely positive.  God established government for our good.  But by the time we get to Revelation 13, John sees an evil government martyring Christians and calls for perseverance.  What about now?  We live somewhere between Romans 13 and Revelation 13.  How then shall we live?  Specifically, what do we owe our government?  What do we owe our neighbors?
