“Some snakes are good snakes.”  So says my Uncle Lloyd, an amateur herpetologist.  But how can we be sure?  Israel kept a good old bronze snake until it turned bad.  When David’s descendant Hezekiah ascended the throne, he had to take care of it.  How can we tell the difference between a good snake and a bad one?
