Volunteer

The Library Ministry Team seeks volunteers to sustain the library programs designed to support and encourage the membership of Tallowood. Skills needed are a willingness to serve and desire to share the resources in the library. There is a job for everyone! Many hands make light work.

Library Volunteer Specific Needs:
Sunday Morning: Circulation desk | check-in and out books, assist patrons, and shelve books as time allows.
Monday Mornings: Mother’s Day Out Readers | share picture books with the youngest at Tallowood each week during the Mother’s Day Out program
Tuesday Mornings: Circulation desk | check-in and out books and shelve books
Wednesday Mornings: ESOL support |check-in and out books for ESOL students. Hours usually from 9:45 – 11 AM
Wednesday Afternoons: Circulation desk | check-in and out books and shelve books, book processing

Ongoing Volunteer Jobs:
Circulation Desk: Check in and out books and shelve books
Library Programs: Prepare materials for the various library programs and set up the programs throughout the year
Book Management: Repair, process, and prepare books for readers.
Library Displays: Design and set up library displays throughout the year.
Library Management: Reading shelves, inventory, monthly library management
