Special Needs

At Tallowood, we are delighted to offer Sunday morning fellowship and Bible study to children and adults with special needs. Our church family is made up of many parts, and we believe it is our privilege to celebrate and accommodate those with different abilities as they learn about God and his great love for them. We agree with 1 Corinthians 12:22 that “those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable…” and are excited to journey together, growing and serving with you and your loved one!

Bible Study

Sunday morning Bible studies (called Connect Groups) are offered for all ages in a self-contained classroom at 9 AM, followed by SNM Extended Worship at 10:30 AM. During both hours, children and adults learn God’s Word and enjoy a wonderful time of fellowship. During the Connect Group hour, those able to attend a typical Connect Group while needing a little help to do so, are provided a Buddy volunteer to accompany them to class. Each Connect Group and SNM Extended Worship is led by a trained teacher and follows a Bible-based curriculum. Additionally, both sessions are staffed with trained volunteers, and medical and personal care needs are attended to by a qualified caregiver.

Before attending for the first time, please fill out an Informational Questionnaire so that we can be prepared to provide the best of care for your family member.

Sunday morning Bible Study options:

9 AM | Kids Connect Group, the Treasures class
9 AM | Older Kids Connect Group, the Discover class
9 AM | Adult Connect Group, the Pathfinders class
10:30 AM | Extended Worship, offered for all learners who are not able to attend worship with their family.
