Anti-Human Trafficking

Freedom Church Alliance: The Freedom Church Alliance exists to engage the Church as a unified, collaborative body to make a greater impact in the anti-human trafficking movement.

Assistance and Community Development

Ministries that assist and develop recipients to self-sustainability.

Street Reach – Tallowood provides a meal at Montrose Street Reach (MSR) the 4th Thursday of each month at 7 PM. The meal is delivered to “Street Church” at 2107 Main Street. Street Reach volunteers provide meals to more than 100 men, women and children.

Mission Centers of Houston (MCH): MCH provides for the physical and spiritual needs of people living in Houston’s inner city. Through ongoing relationships, age-graded programs and mission partnerships they change lives with the love, mercy, and grace of Jesus Christ.

The Source: The Source is a full-service women’s health clinic empowering women with better choices. They provide holistic, Christ-inspired reproductive medical services and support. There are numerous volunteer opportunities for men and women. These include counselors, mentors, medical experts, marketers and more.

West Houston Assistance Ministries (WHAM): WHAM provides free assistance for people who are struggling to meet their basic needs in the form of financial assistance for rent and utilities, food, employment services, and classes to include GED and ESL, as well as cooking classes using food given to clients.

Disaster Relief

Texans on Mission: TxM volunteers deliver help, hope and healing to hurting people after disasters. Serving as the hands and feet of Christ, we encourage, pray with and share the gospel as we serve people in the midst of the most difficult days of their lives. Global Gates – Houston: A missions organization that is mobilizing prayer, missionaries, and volunteers for the most unreached people groups in Houston. Their core mission is to advance the gospel to Houston’s most unreached people groups.

Eyes On Me Inc.: Eyes On Me mentors, disciples and serves at-risk youth and their families. Eyes on Me focuses on ministering in communities that are under-resourced, gospel deprived, overlooked and under-served. They are working to transform and strengthen these communities through reproducible discipleship, goals coaching and strategic mentoring.

Here to There Movement—Houston: Here to There Movement catalyzes leaders to launch movements of disciples by modeling, training, coaching, and empowering them to make disciples among unreached people groups. Houston Welcomes Refugees: HWR exists to help ease the burden of resettlement for newly arrived refugees by mobilizing invested caring volunteers, fostering hope amidst crisis. Volunteer opportunities include: assembling donated Welcome Kits, unpacking a refugee family’s apartment before they arrive through Move-In Teams, and walking alongside a family for several months on a Welcome Team.

Retirement Centers

Retirement Centers: Volunteers Needed!
This ministry brings worship and praise services to many nursing homes and retirement facilities in Houston. Volunteer opportunities include presenting a message, leading the singing, and assisting residents who are unable to attend worship services on their own.
