David Ray
Worship Assistant
David Ray leads worship in the enterChange services at Tallowood on Saturday nights and Sunday mornings, and serves the church through music in a variety of other capacities. David graduated from Greenville College in 2005 with a degree in Contemporary Christian Music. Before coming to Tallowood in April of 2006, David and his wife Jessica resided in Nashville where his band Better Days Ahead released their major label debut in October 2004.
With Jessica singing at his side, David leads services that reflect a passionate commitment to the pursuit of God's glory above all things. He embraces a perspective on worship that is bigger than the songs we sing in one hour per week, and instead involves our whole lives, offered as a worship response to God's singularly inconceivable act of redemption. David is also passionate about songwriting. In December 2006, Tallowood released his project The Doorpost Songs, a collection of scripture set to music and sung by David and Jessica, and a choir of children from Tallowood.
